I went to see The Avengers last night and I have to tell you, Marvel didn't just pull this one off, they knocked this out of the park!! This was unquestionably the best Marvel Movie to date.
It's rare to see a team movie like this that does such a good job of giving each member screen time and storyline without making the movie drag and feel like their just giving everyone screen time. Joss Whedon did an outstanding job and just took his career to the A list. I could go on but I don't want to give anything away.
This was worth all the build up and the wait. And there is a scene after all the credits. It's not story significant, but everyone I was with, and those around us all said the same thing, it was worth waiting thru the credits to see. FYI
There are two scenes after the credits, stay for both, don't give up and leave after the first one. You have to sit through ALL of the credits.
He hit it on the nose about the movie, it was really good. Great mix of action and comedy with a side of serious thrown in.
Fudge, I only saw the one. That movie is EPIC in every respect. I'll definitely see it again in the theater
Agreed, this is the first movie in a long time that I would pay to see again in the theater.
SON OF A I left after the first scene Guess I'll just have to go back and see it again. 🙂
The 2nd scene isnt really anything major, but really is a "Whedon" scene. It's the scene they basically shot the night of the premiere....about 30 seconds. NO dialog 🙂
Saw it twice, loved it. I do wish Favreu had gotten to direct Whedon's script, but that's another conversation.
And it's the first time Marvel has absolutely nailed the Hulk character! It's probably why Ruffalo got a 6 picture deal.
Loved it and thought they did a great job with the Hulk. First one that hasn't made me scream.
Really tired of the whole 3D thing however. I wanted to see the movie In Imax but feel 3D detracts from the movie and of course there is no IMAX format that is not 3D.
If you haven't seen it yet skip the 3D and just see the regular digital version.
Beleg
I've seen it in both versions and agree with Curtis. I felt the action scenes in 3D lost some frame rate. I'm sure that was just perception but I liked it better in 2D. Course I wear glasses and they don't make 3D glasses that have an adjusted focus for ppl wearing glasses. It makes watching 3D movies more difficult IMO. I always feel like I have to strain a little to focus.
Well I had to go see it again and I got to see the second added scene and I got a kick out of it 🙂 It was still a great movie the second go round.
