It's painfully clear with hiring situation it is now I'm not finding a job in economics. Anyone recently taken the GRE? Difficulty of it to study for and take? Either I try to get another bachelor degree or try to get into gradschool for m.s. economics. Thing is I can't afford either. I can't even get a job at Dollar General.
If 10 years ago counts as recent . . . <sigh>, I'm getting old . . .
It's not tough--a littl emore problem solving than the SAT, but very similar. And the first rule of grad school is only go to a program who funds you, either through a Teaching Assistantship, Research Assistantship, Grant, etc. That's how programs show they're genuinely interested in a candidate.
I won't go that route, but it's crazy and basically U.Kentucky gradstudents are pretty much fully funded in some way or another. Something else has come up so I might be able to find something in Cincy won't know for another few days
