AMC is really knocking them out of the park these days.

Agreed. I'm really enjoying the shows on AMC and FX; they enjoy greater creative freedom than the standard networks and are taking advantage of it.

add comedy central to the line up, and i would be happy with a 3 station cable package.

That show this summer The Killing on AMC was very good also. It was different than the norm CSI/Law and Order copy cat police drama.
Add History Channel (thou I could do without the hours of alien shows), BBC America (best scifi out there) and I would be set. But my wife would not like the limited choices.
