I have on older iphone 3 I think. Connecting to a computer will not work so, yeh. I have some older pictures of my now deceased dog that I want to get back, but I have no clue how to get the pictures off. I can get the phone on wifi, but going to gmail it says I need cookies enabled and they are in safari. The blasted thing won't work in the mail button on the bottome of homescreen either.

It simply says" Oops! Your browser seems to have cookies disabled. Make sure cookies are enabled or try opening a new browser window."

Hogwash fixed both and it still says the same thing

Few things you could try...can you connect it to the app store at all? Try another browser or email provider if you cant get in with gmail. If you can get to the app store you could also try a program like dropbox which gives you 2GB free storage and it'll automatically upload your photos to your account and onto any PC you install the program on. It's what I use for myself and my wife to backup phone videos and pictures.

I opened a yahoo on my phone but it's saying imap server "apple.imap.mail.yahoo.com" is not responding. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the "incoming Mail Server" field.

this isn't working either

Older Versions of iPhone

You can also view our Video Tutorial for the older version of the iPhone.

Although most email settings are identical, the iPhone requires a special setting for the incoming and outgoing mail servers. Instead of using the defaults that are typically used in the email settings replace mail.yourdomain.com with yourservername.hostgator.com

If you aren't sure of the name of your server you can usually find it in the Stats on the left hand side of your cPanel. If you don't see it immediately, you can also try pressing CTRL+F and typing in "server name" and pressing enter. This should highlight and take you to the correct area. If you are still unable to find your server name you can contact one of our support agents via chat or phone and they will be happy to retrieve that information for you.

Press the Home button and select Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

Under Accounts, select Add Account...

Select Other.

Enter your name (which will show in the from field) and your full email address.

Enter your email password and description (we recommend the full email address as your description).

Press Save.

Select IMAP or POP (what is the difference?)

Under Incoming Mail Server, enter yourservername.hostgator.com as the Host Name. (Resellers use yourservername.websitewelcome.com. If this doesn't work try using your server's IP address. VPS and Dedicated use your server's IP address.)

Enter the full email address as your User Name.

Enter your email password and then scroll down.

Enter the same information under Outgoing Mail Server.

Press Save.

You are now ready to send and receive emails via your iPhone.

When you say you cannot connect it to your computer can you clarifly.

I just got an onld iphone 3 out of the closet, charged it and even without a sim card in it i can connect it with a usb cord, windows sees it as a portable device and i can then navigate to the DCIM folder and get to old photos.
