For those who don't know, MWO is now in open beta and is free to play. Content is stable and engaging. There are a number of maps now, and many mech variants across light, medium, heavy, and finally assualt
Today 4 new mechs and varients were released, and more are coming.
The game is very true to the table top version where possible and the content and terminology is accurate. Lore is present, although in beta it's basically turned off.
The game is 100% pvp, 8 vs 8 for now, going to 12 vs 12, and will include planet and house events. For those just starting out, trial mechs with free repair are available so you can test pilot 4 different mechs of different weight classes.
You earn C-Bill credits based on your actions for wins or loses, (more for wins obviously), with the goal of buying your own mech which you can customize. Experience pilot trees allow simple skills augmentation, but doesn't lock out any paths based on choices.
We play mostly every night, and are in TS /Mechwarrior channel.

Patch Notes for today released, far more than expected. Now there is a new player money and xp bonus including trial mechs. New night time city map, and three new mechs
