This website is great. It's created by the Mississippi Center for Public Policy. They pressured the state to release records in a easy to read format on the web. The state did and you could go on every departments site and shift the various records there and find the spending.
They cleaned that up and took the records already out there and put them on this website.
And yes I did find that my sheriffs department takes the drug dog to the groomer more than to drug bust and a family of a supervisor all get some kind of check from the County Government from $150 to $20,000.
It is fun to look and see what the local government spends all the tax dollars they take from the property owners.
