I have often thought about writing a paper on the way video games write history or how they distort history. I would have to narrow that topic down. Maybe the way they distort World War II since there have been tons of games about that subject. anyway it is just a thought I had over the years.

Every medium has distorted history. At least video games bring that history to the younger generation. Some video games do give accurate or as close to accurate information on the events that took place.

I agree, most of my factual information comes from video games. Like CoD taught me about the proliferation of Zombie Nazis, and R.A. showed me how Kane advised Stalin in the 50s.
